Clinical Rankings Released: The University & Academy Demonstrates Its Strength

Release time: 2026-06-14

Yixuejie (Medical Community), a medical-education evaluation institution, has recently published the 2026 Ranking of Clinical Strength for Chinese Medical Universities. Shandong First Medical University & Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences ranks 20th nationwide, marking steady progress and showing outstanding capabilities in medical services and clinical teaching.

Published for many consecutive years, the Ranking of Clinical Strength for Chinese Medical Universities assesses the clinical performance of teaching hospitals directly affiliated with medical universities. Its evaluation framework covers four secondary indicators: clinical talent pool, quantity of directly-affiliated hospitals, quality of directly-affiliated hospitals, and overall clinical capacity.

In recent years, the University & Academy has advanced the development of its cluster of affiliated hospitals, promoting coordinated growth between directly-affiliated and non-directly-affiliated facilities. It has optimized regional medical-care resource allocation and built a high-level center for the diagnosis and treatment of complex and severe diseases.

Leveraging its strengths in clinical medicine, the institution boosts interdisciplinary integration and shares clinical-teaching resources. It improves the talent-training chain featuring coordinated development of medicine, education and research. High-level clinical platforms in turn support medical talent cultivation and consolidate core competitiveness in clinical medicine.

During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the University & Academy will stay committed to fostering virtue through education. Aligned with the “Double First-Class” development goals, it will further enhance its distinctive clinical strengths, deepen the integrated progress of medicine, education and research, and strive to lift its comprehensive performance in clinical medicine to new heights.
