On July 10, Clarivate Analytics released the latest ESI rankings. Materials Science of our University & Academy has officially entered the ESI Global Top 1%, bringing the total number of our ESI Top 1% disciplines to 10—a new record high—and placing us 11th among independent medical colleges in Chinese mainland.
Since the establishment of our University & Academy six years ago, the number of disciplines in the ESI Global Top 1% has surged from 1 to 10, while our overall ESI global ranking has jumped remarkably from 2,887th to 806th.
The 10 disciplines featured in the ESI Global Top 1% are:Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Biology and Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Neuroscience and Behavioral Science, Chemistry, Immunology, Microbiology, Social Sciences, General, and Materials Science. Notably, Clinical Medicine has been ranked among the ESI Global Top 1‰ since 2022.
Based on the ESI database, which evaluates institutions by total paper citations, our University & Academy has 24,346 papers indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection, with a total of 362,238 citations.
Our University & Academy is committed to building world-class disciplines, closely aligning with major national strategic needs, and upholding the principle of Discipline-led Development. We have fully implemented the 135 Project, deepened the integration of science and education, and advanced the 2025 · 6610 Roadmap.
By strengthening disciplinary research platforms, promoting in-depth integration of disciplines and industrial demands, establishing a “talent special zone” mechanism for recruitment and cultivation, and forging interdisciplinary innovation consortia, we have laid a solid foundation for building a first-class application-oriented research university with national leadership and important international influence.
