Recently, ShanghaiRanking, a prestigious higher education evaluation organization, published the 2025 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). Our University & Academy has surged significantly from 681st globally in 2024 to 609th, and its ranking among mainland Chinese universities rose from 132nd to 128th.

Having first entered the world’s top 1,000 in 2021, our University & Academy has moved up 345 places globally and 21 places domestically over four consecutive years, demonstrating a steady upward trajectory and fully reflecting the robust growth of its comprehensive strength in recent years.

2021–2025 ARWU Rankings of Our University & Academy

ShanghaiRanking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) is the world’s first comprehensive global university ranking, first launched in 2003 and now in its 22nd annual edition. It assesses universities using six core indicators: alumni awards, faculty awards, highly cited researchers, papers in Nature and Science, international publications, and per capita academic performance. The 2025 ranking features the world’s top 1,000 research universities.
