Recently, ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, a leading higher education evaluation body, released the 2025 ShanghaiRanking’s Best Chinese Disciplines Ranking. Our University & Academy has 7 disciplines included in the ranking: Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, Basic Medicine, Biology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, and Nursing. This represents an increase of 2 disciplines from 2024, with listed disciplines accounting for 87.5% of all disciplines in development. Both the number of ranked disciplines and their individual positions have improved steadily.
The ShanghaiRanking Best Chinese Disciplines Ranking is based on a discipline performance monitoring platform designed for university discipline management. The platform employs over 100 key indicators of disciplinary competitiveness, covering talent development, research platforms and projects, awards, academic publications, high-level talent, and social reputation, to track the real‑time performance and relative standing of tens of thousands of discipline programs across Chinese universities.
