Six Scholars from Shandong First Medical University & Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences Selected for 2025 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers List

Recently, Elsevier and ShanghaiRanking Consultancy jointly released the 2025 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list. A total of six distinguished scholars from the University & Academy, namely Lin Lu, Jinming Yu, Lixin Xie, Tao Sun, Ming Yang, and Fanghua Qi,have been selected for this renowned list. In accordance with Elsevier’s disciplinary categorization, four scholars are recognized in Clinical Medicine, one in Biology, and one in Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. The repeated inclusion of multiple scholars from the University & Academy in the Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list fully demonstrates their outstanding research capabilities and extensive academic influence.

The 2025 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list encompasses 6,310 individuals from 543 universities, enterprises, and research institutions across China. Based on Elsevier’s Scopus citation and abstract database, the ranking adopts the analytical methodology developed by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy to evaluate the research outputs of Chinese scholars. It covers 10 disciplinary fields and 83 first-level disciplines classified by the Ministry of Education of China.
