Recently, ShanghaiRanking, a renowned international higher education evaluation institution, released the 2025 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS). Five disciplines of Shandong First Medical University & Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences have been listed in the global ranking. Notably, Biomedical Engineering ranks 184th globally, entering the top 200, while Nanoscience and Technology is on the list for the first time. The inclusion of multiple disciplines and continuous improvement in rankings mark a significant enhancement in the international competitiveness of the University & Academy’s academic disciplines.

The University & Academy has always targeted the construction of world-class disciplines, vigorously implemented the "135 Project", and adhered to the philosophy of "Developing the University through Disciplinary Excellence". Through measures such as introducing high-level interdisciplinary talents, forming high-quality interdisciplinary teams, establishing state-of-the-art innovation platforms, and conducting organized scientific research, the University & Academy has significantly strengthened its disciplinary strength and facilitated the production of high-level interdisciplinary research achievements.
