On August 23, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced the results of the 2024 national funding applications. SDFMU was awarded funding for a total of 149 projects. Compared to the same period last year, the number of projects approved under the Department of Medical Sciences of NSFC increased by 10.3%, and the number of general projects grew by 9.3%. For two consecutive years, the university has ranked third in project approvals among universities in Shandong and first among provincially administered universities. Other types of projects received during the centralized application period are still under review or approval.
