Recently, Elsevier released the 2023 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” list. This year, a total of five scholars from SDFMU are listed, including Lixin Xie, Jinming Yu, Ming Yang, Tao Sun, and Fanghua Qi. Among them, two scholars are from Shandong Provincial Hospital Affiliated to SDFMU, two scholars from Cancer Hospital of SDFMU, and one scholar from Affiliated Eye Institute. According to Elsevier’s disciplinary classification, two scholars are in the field of clinical medicine, one in basic medicine, one in biology, and one in the field of integrated Chinese and Western medicine.
2023 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” list includes a total of 5,801 individuals from 496 universities, enterprises, and research institutions. Among them, SDFMU (SAMS) ranks 14th (tied) in independently medical universities. The list uses citation and Scopus indexing database as the statistical source for Chinese scholars’ research achievements, following the methodology developed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, covering 10 discipline areas and 84 first-level disciplines recognized by the Ministry of Education.
