Three Virtual Simulation Teaching Innovation Laboratory Projects Approved by the Ministry of Education

Recently, the Ministry of Education’s Center for Educational Technology and Resources Development announced the list of universities and case study teams for virtual simulation teaching innovation laboratory projects in higher education institutions. SDFMU (SAMS) applied for three projects, including the Intelligent Medical Imaging Virtual Simulation Teaching Center, the Virtual Simulation GLP Laboratory for Non-clinical Drug Research, and the Virtual Simulation Laboratory for the School of Public Health and Health Management, which have all been approved. A total of 22 projects from provincial universities in Shandong Province have been approved, with SDFMU (SAMS) taking the lead in the number of approved projects among provincial universities.

SDFMU has attached great importance to the high-quality development of experimental teaching for a long time, proactively addressing the transformative impact of the iterative upgrade of information technology on higher education and teaching, actively promoting the deep integration of digital technology with experimental teaching, enhancing the construction and innovative application level of virtual simulation teaching environments, continuously strengthening the cultivation of students’ innovation and practical abilities, and achieving high-quality development in experimental teaching.

SDFMU will adhere to the fundamental task of cultivating students’ moral character, focus on the national talent strategy and societal development needs, closely align with talent development goals, and carry out teaching practices centered around the construction and application of virtual simulation teaching innovation labs. SDFMU will continuously enhance teachers’ abilities in virtual simulation teaching and research & development, promote innovation in the construction, application, and evaluation mechanisms of virtual simulation teaching environments, create exemplary cases of virtual simulation teaching environment construction and application for reference and promotion, establish a platform for exchange in virtual simulation experimental teaching, and use high-quality virtual simulation experimental teaching to promote SDFMU ’s digital transformation and improvement of educational level.
